Waseela-e-Haq has been started as one of the BISP initiative was formulated with the mission of "breaking the vicious cycle of poverty through micro loans". Under this scheme, female beneficiaries from the most marginalized segment of society are selected through a computerized prize-draw, to receive a loan of up to Rs. 300,000 for setting up an enterprise to improve their livelihood.
  • This micro loan to the targeted beneficiaries is to be used only for establishing mutually identified businesses. Keeping in view the need for providing those beneficiaries or their nominees, a basic entrepreneurial training was started as one of its mandatory component. In partnership with PPAF, SRSO imparted enterprise development training to the said project beneficiaries before the provision of loans.
