SRSO is designed in such a way that it specializes
as a support organization, which provides social guidance to the communities
through its vast network of Regional Offices within which it also
has its Field Units.
An independent Board of Directors is
responsible for all the policy decisions. The Chief Executive Officer, SRSO
is the administrative head who alongwith the management team is responsible
for programme implementation.
At the Head Office level, the Social Mobilization section
is headed by the General Manager, while there are 6
Programme Sections that are each headed by a Programme Manager. These
Sections include Finance and Human Resources (F&A),
Human Resource Development (HRD), Physical Infrastructure
and Technology Department (PITD), Rural Credit and
Enterprise Development (RCED), Monitoring, Evaluation
and Reporting (MER), Gender and Enterprise Development
(GAD). The Natural Resource Management (NRM),
Social Sector Services (SSS), are headed by Programme
Officers
The field operations are directly managed through the
Regional Offices. Each Regional Office is managed by a Regional Programme
Coordinator or Team Leader who is assisted by a team of professional
staff representing: Social Mobilization (two male and
female Social Organizers), PITD (Regional Engineer),
RCED (Credit Officer) and Finance
(Finance Assistant).
