Human Resource
Development
HRD is an integral key sector of
SRSO which is responsible for capacity / human
resource development. Due to its key role in
harnessing the potential of community, it is
soon going to acquire the status of an Institute
to address training needs of wider groups at
provincial and national level.
HRD is the back bone of SRSO
for, it provides meaning to the process of
social mobilization by delivering capacity
building training to the mobilized community
instrumental to creating the proactive
community.
HRD has designed, organized and
delivered number of varied training and courses
for several groups of participants drawn both
from community and staff.
Experience of working with the
community guided us to upgrade the curriculum
addressing the specific needs of learning
groups. We have finally developed the curriculum
that takes into account the sensitive issues
which were otherwise overlooked considering that
they were petty issues. We have carried out
specific training/capacity needs assessment and
encourage genuine feedback as well as conduct
the participatory evaluation at the end of
training.
It has been learnt through our
experience that along with transferring the
skills and upgrading intellectual capacity, it
is imperative to bring about some change in the
behavior and attitude of the learning group so
as to ensure the application of the training. We
now offer residential training instead of non
residential training that has shown better
results.
